Correct!
E is the correct answer. A consumer must
receive notice that an investigative consumer report is
being obtained within three (3) days of the report being
requested. An investigative report may not include information
contained in CRA files older than ninety (90) days and public
records must be updated within the last thirty (30) days.
(Note – additional restrictions of the reports for
employment purposes §613). Finally, the issue of credibility
of the source of the information is addressed requiring
verification of adverse information with a person with direct
and independent knowledge of the information or the person
who is the best possible source of the information. This
provision was added to prevent reports based upon rumor.
See FCRA §§606 and 614.
