Since 1984, NSSC has published the School Safety newsjournal three times each school year. In 1991, NSSC created the School Safety News Service, which included the newsjournals and added six School Safety Updates. Together, these publications provided in-depth coverage on topical issues related to school safety and including background information, research, and model programs and prevention strategies related to violence prevention, crisis management, gangs, attendance, discipline, schoolyard bullying, high-risk youth and other concerns vital to the safety of all schoolchildren.

Today, NSSC continues to offer subscriptions to the School Safety News Service.  Subscribers receive:
    9 monthly School Safety Updates during the traditional school year. Each Update will focus on legal issues, promising strategies and/or model programs related to safe schools NSSC’s School Safety Yearbook, published during the summer, highlighting the year’s trends and issues in the field of school crime and violence prevention
Contributors to these publications include accomplished local practitioners and nationally recognized experts and officials.   Note that the School Safety News Service is included in a membership to the
