THE VERIFICATION INDUSTRY IN INDIA THROUGH THE EMPLOYMENT REGISTER
Indian industry has witnessed a sharp increase in the demand for
high quality talent, as the imperatives of competitiveness have
necessitated an emphasis on employee productivity as a differentiator.
This has led to a shift in the focus areas of HR professionals
on productivity, rather than on mundane, routine and inefficient
administrative issues.
IntegraScreen has launched the National Employment Register (INER)
– India's first centralized, online repository of employment
information. INER is a secure repository of employee data, contributed
directly from the HR/payroll records of companies, available 24/7,
through which verification agencies can instantaneously verify
employee information.

product brings standardization and efficiency to the verification
process, thus reducing costs and turnaround times for both employers
and verification agencies. The product frees up the valuable time
of HR officials, much of which is currently spent on replying
to these verification requests. Everyone understands that the
existing system is highly inefficient and not scalable and is
mostly responsible for poor delivery, low client satisfaction
and low margins."
Mr. Bhura continues "Our product facilitates industry players
to achieve higher productivity and profitability and allows them
to focus on client servicing. A verification agent can achieve
15 verifications per day using the current manual system, using
the INER the productivity can, conservatively, go up to 220 per
day. We believe that the INER will be instrumental in addressing
the challenges of the verification process."
INER would help mitigate the risk of sharing confidential employee
data to unknown requestors, as is the case in the current manual
system. Potential users would also be subject to a due diligence
process. IntegraScreen, being an independent organization and
not the consumer of the data is in a position to control how the
data would be used. The system has already gained wide acceptance
by employers and verification agencies with numerous large multi-national
organizations having signed up.
